Welcome to the Railway Exam Portal User Manual

This comprehensive guide provides a book-like structure to help you configure, manage, and operate the system effectively before and during go-live. The Railway Exam Portal is a high-security, scalable architecture designed for high-stakes online examinations.

This portal serves two primary operational roles:

• Administrators: Can manage all aspects of the system, including users, roles, system health, and global exam settings.
• Examiners: Restricted to managing only their assigned exams, questions, and students' results.

1. Authentication & Security (Login)

The Login section is the secured entryway. It utilizes Laravel's robust authentication middleware to ensure that only authorized staff (Admin/Examiner) or authenticated students can access their respective environments. Passwords are securely hashed, and session lifetimes are strictly enforced.

Use the navigation sidebar on the left to explore the detailed workings of each administrative module in the system. The chapters progress logically from Initial Setup (Users & Roles) to Exam Configuration, and finally to Post-Exam Reporting.
